Weyward Academy
A new middle grade series coming July 2026
I have a new middle grade series - Weyward Academy - coming out with Scholastic in July 2026.
Weyward Academy is a boarding school for the children of Wyrd Hunters - people whose job it is to seek out the supernatural in the 'real' world and 'take care of business' before too much magic seeps into everyday life.
But the school has a few supernatural problems of its own, and it's up to five very different kids to band together and solve the mysteries of Weyward Academy and the Wyrd Institute.
My beloved folklore still features strongly in this new series - there'll be plenty of beasties at Weyward, and folklore-inspired adventures. There'll be siren-led choirs and haunted cloisters and hidden passages and nightmare creatures at the bottom of the lake.
Plus friendship, kindness, courage, growing up, and hijinks galore.
It will be a little bit spooky, a little bit folky, a little bit magical, and a little bit coming-of-age. I'm having a ball writing it and can't wait to share it with you soon.
